No.309 – Jean

Jean was our first “big” steam locomotive at Brookside, she was built by Exmoor Steam Railway in Devon and joined us in early summer 2000. Jean has been the main workhorse for Brookside and is undoubtedly the icon of the railway. She is turned out in Exmoor’s Southern livery.

No.307 – Jane
Jane was our second locomotive from Exmoor. She was built by Exmoor Steam Railway in Devon and joined us in early summer 2000, shortly after Jean. Turned out in Exmoor’s smart Maroon livery.

No.310 – Billy May
 SPACING LINE
Billy MayBilly May joined us in 2002, after working on a railway in Blackpool. Built by Exmoor Steam Railway in 2000, she is rather unique being the only 7 1/4″ gauge Exmoor being a 2-4-2 wheel arrangement. She is turned out in Exmoor’s Maroon livery with black boiler cladding and dome.

No.314 – Amy Louise
SPACING LINE
Amy Louise was built in late 2003 by Exmoor Steam Railway. She originally went to Hills Miniature Railway, before coming home in 2008/9. Slightly shorter in length than our other 0-4-2
Exmoors, but still is a sizeable loco! She is turned out in Exmoor’s Prussian blue livery.

No.339 – Jeremy
Jeremy is the latest steam locomotive at Brookside. Built in 2012 by Exmoor Steam Railway, but not to the standard design. It was designed to look like an Orenstein & Koppel locomotive, but still with the practabillty of an Exmoor loco! Jeremy also has the luxury of having a cab roof, which makes her popular when it is raining! She is turned out in an O&K black livery.
